Chan_sebi modems
The first broadband modem I used for testing chan_sebi was a Huawei E169G that I bought on eBay. This was a 3 modem that had been unlocked.
After a lot of trying, some of which is documented in one of the other files, I gave up trying to use the modem for voice calls. An entry in one of the Huawei forum stated that the difference between the E169G and the E169 was that the E169G does not support voice calls. If this is true it would explain why I can't get it to work.
Not to be beaten I bought a Huawei E169 from eBay. From everything I read this should work but I get the same errors as before.
I have been testing the modem using minicom on port /dev/ttyUSB1. It gives all the correct responses to commands (try at&v to get a complete output) but when I try atdxxxx; with the ; at the end to signify a voice call it just returns an error.
This has left me confused so I am looking for some inspiration.
